Springtime Prayer and Blessings

Yesterday was the last SoL Sunday Celebration at the sweet yoga studio where I have been teaching yoga and holding these interfaith Sunday experiences. The studio is closing in early April. I am yet unsure where I will teach and preach. I have a vision that I am holding lightly and lovingly — of a community coffeehouse and wellness studio that I run with the help of angels, both heavenly and earthly.

Also yesterday was the equinox, the space between things. Now Spring has come. Nature is slowly being reborn.

Astrologically, we are in a time between two eclipses — until this Wednesday, the 23rd. I am no astrologer but what I read that struck me, from Tosha Silver, is that this time between is like a tunnel, that we are in a “profound birth canal”.

And the dream that I woke up with a vivid memory of yesterday morning was a falcon flying, a snowy owl and a giant dragonfly — these images repeated in the dream as if to imprint them on my memory. I consulted my ShamanicPractitioner-Jewish-InterfaithMinister-WiseWoman friend (you all have one of those, yeah?). I received an interpretation involving focus and fierceness, magic and the mystical, spiritual realm.

It seems that it’s time for transformation… again.

Don’t we all go through transformation and transitions? Over and over?

It’s how do we deal with it… What do we see? To whom do we turn?… especially during the in-between, that matters most. After something ends, while we wait, can we hold the belief in rebirth, in resurrection?

I find that the more I can connect within to that Divine part of myself that is eternal and unchanging, to the peace that passeth all understanding, the more hopeful I can be. I can be playful, joyful or at the very least, content, as the flow of life brings newness and surprises.

So whether you call that eternal nature The Father, The Universe, Shiva or another name, it is What It Is. And whether you ask for help from Jesus, Spirit, angels or a deceased relative, help will come.

I wrote this prayer for this time of year, this time when Mother Earth reminds us to believe in rebirth, when Christians are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and Jews prepare for Passover. There are important holy days and festivals in other faiths as well during the Springtime. It seems a natural inclination now is to praise, to release and relax, to let go and let God.

May The Spirit of Love lead us to peace within and peace on earth.

Blessings.

Lisa
